Lent Through a Franciscan Lens: The Commemoration of the Lord’s Entrance into Jerusalem
In this week's Gospel reflection, Ryan Thornton, OFM, and Greg Friedman, OFM, explore the commemoration of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem.
Born and raised in Southern California, Fr. Ryan studied Philosophy and Classics at Harvard before entering the Franciscan Order. While ministering over the years in a variety of roles including as a hospital chaplain in Guatemala, he most recently served as parochial vicar at Sts. Simon and Jude in Huntington Beach while pursuing a PhD in Paris and then a licentiate in Rome. With those degrees completed, he returns full-time and full of joy to parish life, honored to be able to serve the people of God at St. Mark's.
