Lent is a time for contemplation and renewal. Throughout the next six weeks, friars will share a reflection on the upcoming Sunday's Gospel. Each session will ask "Who is this 'Good News' for in 2024?". The friar-presenters will draw on the Franciscan intellectual tradition to explore the timeless relevance of the Gospel.
In this week's Gospel reflection, Tyler Harris, OFM, and Greg Friedman, OFM, contemplate the Transfiguration of Jesus.
Passionate about faith and the Church and serving those on the margins of society. Tyler joined the Franciscan Order in 2021. He studied finance and theology at the University of Notre Dame and specialized in large-scale transformations and strategy at McKinsey & Company. Previous internships in venture capital, public equity investing, and non-profit work.
Franciscan Father Greg Friedman is a friar of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, based in Albuquerque, NM. An author and journalist, he has guided pilgrims in both Italy and the Holy Land. He served as editor of The Holy Land Review, the official magazine of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, from 2017-2020. He offers video reflections on the Sunday readings at www.usccb.org.
