other inordinate desires intrude and choke the word and they remain without fruit. Mk 4:19
17But what was sown Mt 13:23 in good soil Lk 8:15 are those who hear the word with a good and excellent heart, Mt 18:23 understand Mt 13:23 and preserve it and bear fruit in patience. Lk 8:15
18Therefore, as the Lord says, brothers, let us let the dead bury their own dead. Mt 8:22 19And let us beware of the malice and craftiness of Satan, who does not want anyone to turn his mind and heart to God. 20And prowling around he wants to ensnare a person’s heart under the guise of some reward or assistance, 1 Pt 5:8 to choke out the word and precepts of the Lord from our memory, and, desiring a person’s heart, Mk 4:19 [he wants] to blind it through worldly affairs and concerns and to live there, as the Lord says: 21When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it roams through arid and waterless regions seeking rest; Mt 12:43 Lk 11:24 22and not finding any, it says: “I will return to my home from which I came.” Lk 11:24 23And coming upon it, it finds it empty, swept, clean and tidied. Mt 12:44 24And it goes off and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, who move in and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. Lk 11:26
25Therefore, all my brothers, let us be very much on our guard that, under the guise of some reward or assistance, we do not lose or take our mind away from God. 1 Jn 4:16 26But, in the holy love which is God, I beg allmy brothers, both the ministers and the others, after overcoming every impediment and putting aside every care and anxiety, to serve, love, honor and adore the Lord God with a clean heart and a pure mind in whatever way they are best able to do so, for that is what He wants above all else.
27Let us always make a home and a dwelling place there for Him Who is the Lord God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Jn 14:23 Who says: Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man Lk 21:36 Mk 11:25. 28When you stand to pray say: Our Father in heaven. Lk 11:2 Mt 6:9 29And let us adore Him with a pure heart, because it is necessary to pray always and not lose heart; Lk 18:1 30for the Father seeks such people who adore Him. Jn 4:23 31God is Spirit and those who adore Him must adore Him in Spirit and truth. Jn 4:24 32Let us have recourse to Him as to the Shepherd and Guardian of our souls, 1 Pt 2:25 Who says: “I am the Good Shepherd Who feeds My sheep and I lay down My life for my sheep.” Jn 10:14 Jn 10:15
33All of you are brothers. 34Do not call anyone on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. 35Do not call yourselves teachers;
